The Girl

The Girl is a series of stories told and re-told through words, photos, and the literary devices enhancing and creating underlying meanings. Some people will only read what’s at the surface, while others will dig deeper and derive a more profound meaning. Depending on how the viewer interprets and understands what they read, the story will be told and re-told in a different way through each reader.

This book is ultimately demonstrating one girl’s journey in five parts, but when interpreted through photography, the girl is represented differently in each story. Essentially, through the different ways of representing each story, this illustrates how different people go through the same situations and understand things in the same way, but also symbolizes how people can go through the same thing, and understand it and deal with it entirely different and separate from one another.
